FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, whichis the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with theaverage height of the highest 10% of the waves which willoccasionally be encountered.

SYNOPSIS

With high pressure around 30.3 inches lingering over Lake Michigan,winds will be light and variable today, predominantly westerly overthe northern edge and easterly over the southern edge. High pressurewill continue moving east, exiting the western Great Lakes Regiontonight. Winds will become southeasterly and increase tonight as lowpressure around 29.4 inches moves northeast from Saskatchewan towardJames Bay. Winds will remain south to southeasterly until Tuesdaynight when a cold front crosses the lake. Rain and thunderstorms areexpected with the frontal passage. Southwest to west winds areexpected behind the front. Weak high pressure returns to the regionWednesday night into Thursday bringing a return of light andvariable winds.
